I tried this, but no luck - apart from one connect late last night. The 
connection rate is approx 3 in 200 on Linux vs 100% on XP (with the 
exact same hardware).

It finds the ISP okay, the problem is with the connect negotiation.

Does anyone know of any diagnostic tools for this? It must be software 
related, because (1) it connects, albeit almost never; (2) it works 100%
successfully on another OS> Unfortunately, I'm pretty much forced to 
drop Linux on the laptop because of this.
