This is not a Good Idea if you are using Debian. Also, the OP is using
Sarge, so I don't know why you are referring to Xorg. Finally, please
don't top post.
To the OP:
1. Why have you installed X on a router?
2. If you must, dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 instead of the above
advice.
3. It appears, from (shock horror) reading the documentation, that you
need to select the tdfx driver.
