Hi,

I'm trying to install a debian system (3.1) on a Asus K8N motherboard(nVidia SATA).

My sata drive can't be seen from the system:

What I get is:

ata1 is slow to respond, please be patient
ata1 failed to respond (30 secs)

I tried with knoppix, it didn't work either. There are some drivers touse (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0283.html), but I canI use them if I don't install the system???
