nope...

your debian box is doing all the "routing" so if you have a $20 wifi pci
card, you'd route wlan0 or ath0 as your new "eth3" in your debian box

yup.. check the list of drivers ... to see if you find your favorite 
card is easier to do than to take any random card and finding its drivers
