Just click on the big yellow button that says "Download Realplayer";
it's a Linux binary. The RPM is under the "Advanced" heading (eh . . ?!).

And to answer your question about RPMs being installed in Debian, many
of them can be installed using the Alien package; as a general rule,
you'd probably rather have a tarball than an RPM, at least in my opinion.
