Basically, Tomcat is a servlet container : it handles JSP (so called
Java Server Pages).
JBoss brings the full J2EE stuff, javabeans. (my god !). It comes with
its own Tomcat probably because of the sheer complexity of Tomcat/Jboss
interaction.
