According to how I read the 2.6.8 configuration option description, this is
an "experimental, new" driver. That means it's supposed to hang your
system. So what's the problem?
BTW there are no less than 7 Tulip drivers, only one of which is
experimental. Are you sure you picked the right one? If so, that's
very bad luck for you, but maybe good fortune for the driver developer
if you choose to file a good bug report.
