Software support for Belkin UPS?
Just plugged in my P57281 Belkin 375VA battery backup. I can see it being
detected in /var/log/messages.
The connection is USB, while upsd for instance is stated to work with a
"serial" (presumably RS-232C) connection.
Sarge seems to contain only one package that can detect a Belkin UPS, nut.
However, nut's configuration instructions say to install "the driver for
your UPS", which I'm apparently supposed to magically have available from
some other source. This is confusing.
There are two or three projects supporting Belkin products listed at
Freshmeat, but they aren't in Sarge and the two interesting ones are in
beta.
Did I miss something in packages.debian.org? Should I file a
request-to-package for one or both of the projects I found at Freshmeat?
