Hmmm, I get this:

Again, /dev/hdb1 is not marked as being a LVM type disk...

Now that is exactly the question I had, because of this i'm getting
really scared of doing a dist-upgrade on the rest of my servers as
well... ;-(
Oh boy, I really hope I can restore the partition table...
