Re: Bug in Radeon in kernel 2.6.8?

I can remove these errors by not using the CONFIG_DRM_RADEON option.

It's probably not that simple, because I and probably a million other
users use that option. The linux build system has always been semi-broken
(by which I mean it's excessively fragile) and it looks like nothing has
changed, and in the meantime what this means in practice is that each
compile failure must be handled on a case-by-case basis, and just giving
a few of the options you compiled (rather than the entire .config file)
is insufficient for others to reproduce your problem.

Furthermore you still haven't given the version of your linux-2.6.8. The
latest debian-patched version for testing (sarge) is kernel-sourc 2.6.8-15,
which works fine for me, even with all the Radeon options enabled.

(BTW you don't have to start a new thread each time you post on the same
issue. I can't tell if you saw my last thread so I don't know if you
eliminated the concern I raised there.)
