We use number of 4port NIC of DLINK-DFE-580-TX on

The driver is for 2.4 kernel.

We are using one of these 4 port DLINKS and are having some trouble with it, I'm running sarge on a 2.6.8 kernel, the card resets itself during normal operation and interrupts traffic for a few seconds, the kernel logs the following:

Apr 6 15:47:55 10.0.0.1 kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
Apr 6 15:47:55 10.0.0.1 kernel: eth0: Transmit timed out, TxStatus 00 TxFrameId 10, resetting... Apr 6 15:47:55 10.0.0.1 kernel: 00 1cea2000 1cea2010 00008001(00) 06c19012 800005ea Apr 6 15:47:55 10.0.0.1 kernel: 01 1cea2010 1cea2020 00008005(01) 12513012 800005ea
.
.
.

I'm using the sundance driver that came with the 2.6 kernel, not from the CD.......

A bit of googling and it seems that other people have had the same problem and i haven't come across a resolution yet.
