SSL problem + Apache 1.3.33

Hi guys,

I bought and generate without a problem a ssl certificate for a
subdomain.
The main domain has already a ssl certificate, but the subdomain is
located in a 2nd server with different IP and therefore it need a new
ssl.

I followed the following url:
http://www.crazysquirrel.com/debian/apache-modssl.php
and set up everything based in my domains etc. but I cannot get https to
work...

What I am getting is:

'The connection to ..... has been terminated unexpectedly. Some data may
have been transfered'

The server is running Sarge, with Apache 1.3.33 and mod_ssl enabled.

Any suggestions?
