It is probably better to download the libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1 package from Woody here: http://packages.debian.org/stable/oldlibs/libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1 You can install it in Sarge/Sid with dpkg -i <filename> and there are no dependency issues with it.
