RE: problems with openoffice and samba - continued and again...

My Windows openoffice is built on Java, and the Linux openoffice was the
default...is this a reason for my problem?

		First message was -

I am wondering why I can browse directories an XP Home
system on the network, but not open an openoffice document. I am told the
document could not be found, even thought I see it and click on it.

Is there a compatibility problem between openoffice for
Microsoft and openoffice for Debian?

I can click on a music file on the same system and play it
from the Linux system, so I can't think that samba is screwed up...

		Follow up message -

I can drag and drop the file to my Linux desktop and open
it...

Am I missing something about users and passwords for
accessing openoffice documents across a blended smb network?
