I wouldn't. Some .WMV files have DRM schemes that will immediately go to 
retrieve licenses. Some of those also have ill intent, and will install 
spyware or browser hijackers. If the file seems way too small for what it 
should contain, beware. The results cannot be good.

That's all in XP, though. I've tried to open the same files with xine, and I 
just get an 'encrypted file' error. Mplayer plays severely scrambled video.
