Got carried pruning packages :(

Only a little nuisance. Using Debfsoter I was striving to get to my 
target of only :) 700 packages installed.

The only problem I have now is that some widgets have changed their 
appearance. For instance before my FireFox Google Search and URL input 
fields had a nice white background and now became greyish (now that I 
look also the Subject box in the Thunderbird I am using to write this 
note and the background of the To: field).

Question 1) Is there a log of what I have removed somewhere ?

Question 2) Anyone have an idea on what should I need to reinstate the look.

Debian Sid with gdm and GNOME as desktops (albeit with quite a few KDE 
applications).
