Currently, I am running Sarge. The version of iptables I am running is
1.2.11-2. A newer package of iptables has been available in Sarge for
awhile now. It is version 1.2.11-8.
I have refrained from upgrading however because apt-listbugs shows the
following bug has been open on it:
grave bugs of iptables (1.2.11-2 -> 1.2.11-8) <open>
#278916 - iptables-save produces bad syntax (unloadable by
iptables-restore)
Summary:
iptables(1 bug)
Is any work being done on this? Has anyone had any problems? Should I
bite the bullet and give it a shot? I should note that this on my home
machine and I'm not averse to dealing with some problems now & then.
Unfortunately, I do have other people who use the machine in the
household. :)
Thanks,
Rick
