Re: umask in X different to bash



I have followed your instructions to compile libpam-umask under woody.
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/01/msg02877.html). There were
no problems.

I have configured the login and kdm services under /etc/pam.d but the
permissions on new files still are 644. I used
session optional pam_umask.so umask=007.

In /var/log/auth.log I can see that pam_unix starts the service kdm but
nothing more. Even I use an incorrect parameter to pam_umask.so (eg
usemask instead of umask=007) no error messages are produced.

Can you help me please?
