Using MS keyboard

Just yesterday, I installed Sarge on my girlfriend's machine. She uses a
Microsoft keyboard with a bunch of extra keys (e.g. for: volume up/down,
mail, media player, etc.).

Is it possible to program these keys within Sarge (or, more
specifically, KDE)?
