Run this command: apt-cdrom add Note though that it is usually better to just download the first cd or a special installation cd and then update from the internet without downloading all the other cds. That will probably save a lot of bandwidth. But there can be good reasons to do it with cds and since you have them already, apt-cdrom is the way to go.
