Hey there,
It sounds like you simply need to get a copy of the latest NVIDIA
drivers. The drivers that ran with 2.4 don't all work with 2.6, but
nVidia fixed the issue with new drivers pretty quickly. I'm running the
1.0-6629 drivers without any problems under 2.6.9. There's probably
newer versions out, but I haven't got around to upgrading.
