Ahhh HA! Try using the 64-bit userland tools which can co-exist with the
32-bit userland tools as well.

I haven't tried to do the mixed mode setup, but based on others comments
it is a doable thing. More Space and Bandwidth to get it this way.

Of course, I am just starting to be in the 64-Bit stuff on *X86 but on
the other 64-Bit platforms I use, it appears to work for me.
