How do you mean? Take "cowsay":

[n6tadam@station 20050118]$ apt-cache depends cowsay
cowsay
  Depends: <perl5>
    perl

Isn't that showing that we need perl to use cowsay? the apt-rdepends is
recursive in that sense.  Unless I have misunderstood something, that is
what he wanted, no?
