Hi there, I had the same problem, kdm took my keyboard from me. I fixed it by copying the kdmrc.dpkg-dist over the exisiting kdmrc, which I have chosen to keep during install (which wass the cause of the problem;). Thanks to the guys at #debian and #debian-kde who pointed me there! Cheers, Peter
