I looked at that and at the Nvidia Linux Advantage paper on the same
page but neither seemed to offer anything worthwhile: unless of course
you were suggesting I _bought_ a driver. The question I was trying to
answer first was whether or not the nv driver in Debian Woody
supported my card.

Looking again at what I wrote, I asked if the card was any good for X
on linux. I realise now that the question should really have been:
Does the nv driver in Woody support my card? On that, the jury is
still out.

I am really grateful for your attempted help and if you, or anyone
else, can answer the question above that would be wonderful, even if
the answer is the one I don't want - `No'. My pain at a negative
reply, however, would be greatly eased if I could also be told where I
can get a free driver.

Barrie.
