Re: deleted /boot files

an update to my saga is that i was able to run lilo. however, when
trying to boot, i see:

request_module{block-major-3]: root fs not mounted
VFS: Cannot open root device "303" or 03:03
Please append correct "root=" boot option
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03

my root= option is set to /dev/hda3 which is the root partition.

suggestions?
