I am building it, using: make-kpkg -rev Custom.1 --append-to-version "-20041218" kernel_image and installing, using: dpkg -i /usr/src/kernel-image-2.4.27-20041218_Custom.1_i386.debThen the menu.lst file is filled automatically with this kernel (without initrd line).
