problem with cdrom

I've installed debian tesiting on my laptop, but I'm experiencing
troubles with the cdrom.

I've got a sym. link /cdrom to /media/cdrom, which is itself a link to
/media/cdrom0, which doesn't exist (!)

here is the fstab:

/dev/hdb /media/cdrom0 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0

I made /media/cdrom0, but I cannot mount it:

# mount /media/cdrom0
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb,
or too many mounted file systems

I don't know what to do now... any hint?

Thanks,
Alberto

PS

I'm running 2.6.8-1-686 without recompiling, I got the one in testing.
