raid1 and filesystem type identifier FD

All,

I have a few machines running raid1. On all but one machine, the
file system types on the mirror (/dev/hdc) are ext2. On the one machine
in question, I set the file system type to FD -- raid file system
(I read this somewhere but forget where now). On the machines which
I used ext2 prior to creating /dev/md0, I can still fdisk -l the
devide and see the linux partitions nicely. However, on the machine
w/ the FD file system type, fdisk -l /dev/hdc shows that the primary
partitions are moved.

Is this something to be concerned about?
