Wandergnus on Debian

Is there an easy way to try wanderlust (wl*) and gnus at the same
time? In sarge at least they disagree on the matter of whether semi
should be installed.

I'm running sarge, but I'm not above pinning a few packages to
unstable (is that a bad idea?). But I don't want to install semi and
then find out it's hard to create an xemacs or emacs that works OK
without it later.

gnus is powerful, but I thought I'd try a mail/news reader that was
designed for features like mail, IMAP, virtual groups, piped groups,
and filter groups from its inception instead of having them added on
later, to see if it is a cleaner design. If it isn't, I'll probably
go back to my gnus/shell combination.

(Note: if this posts more than once, it's because gnus is telling me
"args out of range" :-))
