I use openvpn in different networks and it works with windows as well as with windows (at least I have tried with win2k and XP)I use debian based firewalls as vpn - gateways and windows and linux - clients which does very well.
I decided to use openvpn, because my freeswan - vpn made troubles on and on (could have been my fault, i know, ...)
and I managed to get openvpn to work within only a few hours.

Nowadays I use openvpn whenever I need a vpn.
