mod_perl for apache (error)

hi dear members!

 

 i want comple mod-perl for apache after run make i got this error

 

 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lperl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [libperl.so] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/umar/pkg/mod_perl-1.29/apaci'
make: *** [apxs_libperl] Error 2

 

plz help what i can to do?
