Correct syntax would be...
apt-cdrom -d /cdrom add
...assuming that /cdrom is where you mount CDs
This will build a new /etc/apt/sources.list. You might want to edit that
first and comment out lines you don't need, or move it to
/etc/apt/sources.list.old
