Wanderlust (wl) setup problem, can't add folders

I can't seem to add folders to wanderlust under emacs. I go by the
instructions, startup wanderlust by M-x wl and then do m a to add a
folder and I get the error
Can't insert in the out of desktop group
Any ideas?
