I've had a short (but so far happy) stay with bytemark.co.uk.They do very cheap virtual private servers and dedicated machines. You can start with a VPS, and upgrade it to a full server, without having to reinstall anything - take your existing disc image with you. May not be anything special in Debian land, but pretty revolutionary elsewhere.
