ksycoca, mime problems in Sid
Hi,
I am running MEPIS Debian Sid on a machine where the control center
has stopped working. This happened a few weeks ago when I had some
problems with updating to new core KDE packages. The symptoms are that
the control center opens, but the is nothing but a whites screen on
the left hand side under the index tab, i.e., there is nothing to
"control".
I've been getting a lot of messages from something called ksycoca, e.g.,
kbuildsycoca running...
Reusing existing ksycoca
kbuildsycoca: WARNING: Property 'X-KDE-Weight' is defined multiple times
(KOfficeFilter)
kio (KService*): WARNING: Invalid Service : kmplayer_component.desktop
kbuildsycoca: WARNING: 'katepart.desktop' specifies undefined
mimetype/servicetype 'text/x-verilog-src'
kbuildsycoca: WARNING: 'katepart.desktop' specifies undefined
mimetype/servicetype 'text/x-vhdl'
kbuildsycoca: WARNING: 'katepart.desktop' specifies undefined
mimetype/servicetype 'text/book'
kbuildsycoca: WARNING: 'kiviotexttool.desktop' specifies undefined
mimetype/servicetype 'KPlugin'
Does anyone know which packages I should install/re-install/delete
to get things working again?
Thanks,
Charlie
