Hi Erik,
 Is it related to this?  
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=252896.  If so, it doesn't 
look like anyone knows why just yet.  I've had this happen to me once, and 
I think it was related to an SMB share I had mounted.  I don't know how to 
duplicate the problem yet, though.
