That's odd.  The line above should contain "RUNNING" but it doesn't.  Can
you ping 10.1.1.1 from this box?  I have a feeling that you won't be able
to.  I wasn't able to find any information on google about what a lack of
this flag means.

That is odd, didn't notice it before. However 10.1.1.1 is the private network which I can ping from my workstation and it can ping my workstation too. 10.0.0.2 is the interface that cant access anything outgoing.

Can you try a different card to replace this one?

Well I've tried 4 NIC's (all Realtek's 8139too) I think I have a D-Link lying around somewhere.

That'd be a shame. I'd be curious as to what's wrong too, but I'm running out of ideas.
