By <tab> I mean press the tab key.  That should show you all the
kernel images available under woody (3.0R2).
Wow!!! Where should I have learned about that one? I've been using regular tab completion since I started using LInux but I hadn't known about that extension. I didn't find a man page but I can find out what other sources are used by reading the script.

Of course with aptitude some of that is not as necessary but I will be trying tab in places where it didn't work before to see where else it works.
