See, I knew there was a license issue!
Hrm. So either the prepackaged pine to which the OP referred is a
licensing violation, or debian feels strongly enough about some mods to
distribute as source rather than distribute the canonical form?
Well, whatever. I use mutt, so it's academic to me.
