Im reposting because it didn't send

I am a new debian user. I was using slack, and some stuff(small things, i freely admit), were upsetting to the point where i was gonna just go back to windows... I was just burning time in my dorm room, and decided, "Well, I do have some cd rewritable discs next to the coffee(lol). Why not give it a whirl?" I am confused as to why people seem to be afraid of debian. Makes no sense. I love everything so far. Deb got big points from me for making my mouse wheel work out of the box. Small, but it meant a lot to me. The sound all worked out of the box. Its everything I ever wanted. And I would like to thank the developers who made it happen. All I need now is to know what laptop to buy to make sure everything is supported. Ah well. I tried to upgrade kde on my slack box before I wiped it and made a deb box. What a pain! It was missing this. It was missing that. Off I go looking for this that or the other. And when I did get it all installed(or so I thought) lots of stuff was broken. I cant believe how cool apt-get works. Slack is trying to copy it, but nothing beats the original. I am spoiled for life now, and will never accept anything less than apt-get! I know, it may seem silly to write this and I'm sure y'all have better things to do, but as I can't afford to donate money(tuition fees are getting stupid), I can only say thanks for making linux work with no more "Dependency Drama". And I will be taking C++ this semester. I'm a rank beginner, but maybe one day I can contribute to the project. Have a good day, all, and thanks for reading.

Cecil
