amavisd-new can be configured to a full LMTP/SMTP path without any sort of
shells, for postfix+SA.  At least the ones in testing/unstable do.

And yes, you're right.  Avoid calling a shell at ALL costs on the mail path.
But SA should be much more time-consuming than anything else in my
experience...  still, the need to get an email through postfix twice is a
pain, due to IO.  The new postfix with advanced filters will allow us to fix
this, I think.
