sure mike. 1. got it all working on sarge with a Canon Eos 300D: 2. i installed gphoto2 2.14 , libgphoto2 2.1.4 and libexif all debian3. so: it worked fine till i started up again: than: no soap. so i installed usbmgr and usbview, [ #apt-get [-f] install usbmgr usbview] because <gphoto2 --camers-list> and <gphoto2 -P> told me : 'we do not recognize something like an usb'.
4. now all works fine permanently. with/ on athlon amd 2,4 GB 256 Mb mem. two HD's 40 GB, Nvidia GE force 32MB, rock motherboard.
