Hmm, my openoffice (1.1.0, sid) is part broken too. I have abandoned using it
seriously because of this, so haven't investigated in depth. Two symptoms
are:
- strange subset of cups printers shown.
- inability to save - gives repeated error messages, somehting about "Unable
to load BASIC of document". WHatever that means. I have to cancel this
error about twenty time in a row before it gives up and says something
about "that document is not found in the database". Which also sounds
irrelevent to saving a text document.
Had no time to go into this, but maybe others have similar problems. Life is
too short. Using Lyx instead (with all the limitations that brings!!).
