Then take steps to ensure that they're NOT cluebies, instead of
facilitating them in their quest to stay stupid.

I have no problem suggesting that someone use Knoppix as a live CD either.
That's what it is, that's what it's for. It is NOT Debian.

Didn't say that. Not even once. Did say that the clueless need not apply.
Do YOU see any reason to support them? I sure don't. When it breaks, all
they do is whine.

She's not supporting it, now is she? That's exactly my point. You are.

Yes, it's certainly elitist to suggest that someone actually be qualified
to perform a task. Why, thank you for showing me that. Feh.

Every other field of endeavor, it's not "elitist" to suggest that there are
people who should be participating, and people who should not. We train
people to be doctors, engineers, pilots, and all sorts of other things, and
no one suggests that the man off the street should be doing any of those.
But mention computers, and suddenly the "advocates" (may they all burn) are
telling you how evil you are for believing the same. Well, I'm sorry, but
it's EXACTLY the same.

If Microsoft has done only one truly evil thing, it's that they position an
operating system as a consumer product.

If the idea is to dumb things down so that the stupids don't have to think,
eventually all that will be left are the stupids.

I'd have only installed oBSD once if this damned PA-RISC wasn't so twitchy
(old SCSI is *ever* so much fun).
