Why not do an "apt-get remove libgphoto2-port0 libgphoto2-2"? If you
want the config files removed too, try "apt-get --purge remove
libgphoto2-port0 libgphoto202".

Dpkg has it's uses too, but apt-get is generally better for your
situation.
