I am having problems with john. Every morning, I get this message: Sending mail to jeff... John has cracked 1 passwords. If you want to see them, use john -show <passwordfile>. (See john(1) for details). However, I cannot get john to show me: # sudo john -show /root/.john/john.tmp.9udtXe 0 passwords cracked, 3 left # apt-show-versions john john/testing uptodate 1.6-23 # sudo grep ^passfile /etc/john-mail.conf passfile=3D/root/.john/john.tmp # sudo ls -l /root/.john/ total 4 -rw------- 1 root root 1476 Jan 12 01:00 john.tmp.9udtXe What do you think? -- Best Regards, mds mds resource 877.596.8237 - Dare to fix things before they break . . . - Our capacity for understanding is inversely proportional to how much we think we know.
