Ack!  I was wrong.  Colin Watson pointed out that 'whinge' is a valid
word, being of Scottish origin.  I've never heard it used in the US
(dictionary.com indicates it as "Chiefly British"), so I made an
incorrect assumption.

The 'looser' comment still stands though. ;-)
