I had to compile lynx myself with the ability to do persistent cookies.  If
you look at your .lynx.cfg file, you'll find the exact thing you need to set
when you compile.  It's something with 'PERSISTENT_COOKIES' in it I think.

Then you set it in your .lynx.cfg file as well.
