FYI,

I'm doing a project where I had my ext-3 root filesystem mounted
read-write. Turns out that by turning off the power to the system,
you can crash the filesystem beyond repair.

My client has seen it two or three times, I've seen it happen twice.

I'm hoping it won't happen again when I use the root filesystem
read-only.
